Ideal places to rent a luxury villa in Ibiza – Part I

When visiting Ibiza you have several choices when choosing accommodation. One option that has become very popular among visitors in recent years is to rent a luxury villa. It’s a perfect option if you’re looking for more freedom, privacy and space.

In order to fully enjoy your stay, giving you the possibility of cooking at home if you don’t feel like going out one day and enjoying a fabulous pool just for yourselves. In Ibiza there’s an extensive catalog of villas to rent offering you all the comfort and services within all kinds of houses: Luxury villas, minimalist, modern, Ibizan style country houses… The offer is immense.

It’s important to know where you want to stay, because depending on the environment you’re seeking you’ll opt for one area or another. Here we give you a list of what you can find in the different areas of the island.

Cala Jondal area and surroundings: An area with many large luxury villas, ideal if you want to have glamorous beaches and great atmosphere near you. It’s the case of Cala Jondal, a beach with clear waters, very chic and fashionable atmosphere and beach clubs, such as the genuine Tropicana Beach Restaurant and the renowned Blue Marlin Ibiza. Also, very close to this area you’ll find other beaches such as Sa Caleta, a little and cozy sandy beach cove with clear waters and beautiful natural reddish rocky cliffs. As well as fabulous seafood and Mediterranean cuisine restaurants, such as Es Torrent and Es Xarcu.

Sant Agustí des Vedrà village and surroundings: It is a very quiet area, dominated by a charming and typical Ibizan village, traditional country houses, romantic restaurants, a very pretty church and surrounded by a beautiful countryside environment. Its coastline has spectacular beaches with crystal clear waters and fine sand such as Cala Comte (Cala Conta), from where you can see amazing sunsets, and Cala Bassa, a sandy crystal clear water beach with the look of a natural pool and with modern beach bars. Furthermore, in this area you can eat very well, especially if you love rice dishes and fresh fish.

Cala Llonga and Roca Llisa: If your passion is golf, the best you can do is choose this area. The only golf course on the island is in Roca Llisa. Also it’s very close to Ibiza town and other towns such as Santa Eulalia des Riu and Jesús, with a wide offer in dining, entertainment, shopping and other activities. Cala Llonga also has beautiful beaches such as the hidden little beach of Cala Olivera and the lively beach of s’Estanyol. Also very near is Amante Beach Club, a great choice if you want to relax, lie comfortably on a sunbed in the sun and enjoy a yoga session overlooking the sea.

Santa Gertrudis area: It is a more rural area, dominated by the typical Ibizan country houses and nature environment. If you’re seeking peacefulness and rustic atmosphere, this is a great choice. It’s a charming village with many restaurants, bars, unique shops and a church. Its location, in the heart of Ibiza, is perfect for getting to any of the beaches in the north of the island and the crafts and artisan markets.
